Temperature is determined by the type of roast and grind you have as well as the flavor profile you want to create. When brewing coffee with an Aeropress, it is important to keep the water temperature at a constant level.
Brews made with cooler water are more robust and flavorful. Aeropress coffee's flavor and strength can be influenced by the amount of water used and the extraction time.
You should use water that is between 165F and 175F for your Aeropress brews, which is well below the safe operating temperature of 195F.
The water cools while you pour and stir your coffee. Higher water temperatures (190F to 195F) resulted in better-tasting coffee. Because you start with hotter water, it makes no difference if it cools down during the brewing process.
You need a hot brew to get to those taste and aroma molecules. Brewing diverse flavors is affected by this. The roast characteristics of the coffee should be used to determine the water temperature for Aeropress brewing. For dark roasts, use 175 °F (80 °C).
An ideal medium roast temperature is 185°F (85°C). Temperatures at this level consistently yield the finest results. We can influence the taste of our Aeropress coffee by adjusting a few variables in the brewing process.
To get the most out of Aeropress, you need to pay attention to each of those aspects.
The type of roast and grind you have, as well as the flavor profile you're going for, will have a significant impact on the water temperature you utilize.
In general, a stronger brew will be creamier and more delicate because of the higher temperature. Lower water temperatures, on the other hand, tend to produce a more robust and flavorful brew. It is also important to consider the water-to-coffee ratio and extraction time when making Aeropress coffee.
Follow the table below to make the perfect cup:
Taste Grind Roast Water Temperature
Bitter Smooth Dark 185 °F (85 °C)
Acidic Coarse Light 175 °F (79.44 °C
