A flavour created from a strong coffee infusion or a cocoa or chocolate-cocoa blend. Definitely a coffee lover's cake.
A decadent chocolate cake serves as the foundation for this chocolate mocha cake. Creamy tiramisu and espresso creams divide the delicate cake layers, which are topped with an incredibly silky espresso swiss meringue buttercream.
The rich, fluffy mocha cake is bursting with chocolate and coffee flavor. Mocha buttercream, chocolate ganache, and chopped chocolate-covered espresso beans are sandwiched between each layer.
If desired, you can substitute sour cream for the whole milk yogurt; I do this frequently and can't tell the difference.
Utilize cake strips to create FLAT layers that are moist on both the interior and outside! You may purchase a set from the shop page or create your own at home with foil and paper towels. I wrote an entire blog article on it, so have a look if you're interested!
If you want to add some crunch, add some cacao nibs! Pure chocolate, without added sugar and packed with antioxidants.
If you wish to soften the flavor profile of this cake, you might use an Italian buttercream flavored with vanilla and/or a teaspoon or two of espresso powder. If you're curious, the answer is yes, they would make delectable cupcakes! Simply adjust the baking time and decorate as desired!
This chocolate mocha cake does require refrigeration due to the swiss meringue buttercream. I recommend preserving it in a cake keeper if you have one. Wrap the cake or individual slices in plastic wrap, then foil.

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).
In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:
