There are a few minor details that make latte art feasible, even if you have the best espresso and the best milk.
The distance from the cup, and the position of the pitcher spout are all factors to consider while pouring latte art, which may be achieved by utilizing a little chemistry and physics (or spout placement).
After determining the proper posture for pouring, the next step is figuring out how to keep your body still and relaxed while doing so. When pouring, most people find it most comfortable if they keep their arms at their sides with their elbows tucked behind their shoulders. Making this posture your preferred one will also make it easier to pour perfectly aligned designs, either directly or perpendicular to your handle, into the cup.
Pour In order to avoid disrupting the crema, you'll begin by filling the cup with a moderate flow rate, and as you make your design, the flow rate will increase until the cup is completely filled. A slower flow generates stronger strokes, while a faster flow can be used to form delicate lines, sink portions of your design to create negative space, or neatly cut through your artwork. You can also use varied pouring speeds to achieve different effects in your design.
To paint milk onto your espresso, place the pitcher close to the cup. To simply combine the two, place it further away from both. Starting a few inches above your cup, gravity should be used to drop your milk directly through the crema to blend with the liquid espresso underneath, leaving a clean canvas on top while you fill the cup sufficiently to create a design. Place your pitcher spout as close to the crema as possible to allow the liquid milk to flow through the surface and microfoam to float on top of your drink utilizing lateral flow and reduced velocity. This will allow you to draw with your milk.
If your spout is in the right place, your design will show up where you want it to in the cup. We can think of the surface of the beverage as being broken into three horizontal sections, one in the middle, one below the center, and one above the center. This can help us figure out how to put designs on our drinks. To make a heart in the middle of your cup, you'll need to put your spout above the center, no more than halfway into the cup. This will help you center designs and keep you from messing with the bottom of the crema, which makes your coffee look bad.
It takes skill and patience to create beautiful latte art, but the procedure of generating white forms on brown coffee relies on understanding pour speed, proximity, and placement!

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).
In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:
