Fast food at McDonalds has a vast range that is appealing. Breakfast meals, desserts, chicken sandwiches, and fries are also available at McDonalds. It's something I'd like to try.
Since the 1979 opening of the first outlet in Singapore, McDonalds has expanded rapidly and owns around 40% market share in the fast food industry currently. With more than 130 locations across the island, McDonalds is without a doubt Singapore's most popular fast food joint.
KFC, on the other hand, is known for its fried chicken. Along with its signature chicken wraps, KFC also offers chicken sandwiches, salads, and a variety of desserts.
There are 84 KFC – Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets in Singapore, making it easy for Singaporeans to find a KFC near them.

There are numerous articles discussing which is better, in this article, we will look at the numbers and stats.
If we look at the number of searches for both Mac and KFC
McDonalds is more popular with close to 400 K searches that resulted in people entering their site.
KFC has about 271 K searches.
It is easy to conclude that McDonalds is more popular based on this.
But if we look at the 24 months breakdown, as recent as 2021, McDonalds was only tracking about slightly more than 100 K searches while KFC held constant at more than 200 K.
So, it is because of certain promotional drives (marketing) that drive up this number because of the changes in operation (easier access to McDonalds ordering platform), there is a need to delve into more stats to ascertain it.
But looking at the current number, McDonalds is more popular if we look at the number of searches.
And similar to Coffee Bean Vs Starbucks, we asked our community (25 K) if they prefer Mac or KFC (since we are focusing on coffee, we asked them about KFC and Mac coffee).
And here is the result:
1371 people saw the poll
Close to 200 people participated in the poll
McDonalds - 137 votes
KFC - 42 votes
When you compare the stats on either <Coffee Bean Vs Starbucks> or <Nespresso Vs Nescafe>, this set of results has the biggest difference. It is very clear that when it comes to coffee, McDonalds is the brand to go to.
When you look at the poll, would you also be choosing McDonalds instead of KFC?
Summary:
Both the stats and poll point to McDonalds as the more popular brand, and so in conclusion, on the question of KFC Vs McDonalds Which Is Better; - the numbers show that McDonalds is better.

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).
In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:
