C.A.N. café is situated at Yeley Building along Upper Serangoon Road. ITt was previously at Liang Seah Street followed by Beach Road. Upon stepping into the café, it brings you into a world of nostalgia of personal collectibles by the cafe owner, spanning over 50 years of collection of posters, furniture, telephones, TV set, signages, car plates, clocks etc.  A very interesting place to check out indeed. I had not seen that many vintage items in a café before. 

I spent quite a fair bit of time admiring the different stuff on display and taking pictures to share with you readers of Singapore Cafes Guide.

The menu is nicely designed. My favourite page was that of “The Milkzic Shakes”. It is written with The Staff, Treble and Bass clefs and the shakes are creatively named.

I had a beef wrap sandwich for lunch followed by a lemon meringue tart ($5.90) for dessert.

The beef seasoning, a fusion of Asian herbs and spices, was prepared by the owner’s wife Yoko, and it’s more suitable for a light palatable bite.

It's a 'musical' experience of sweet and mildly tangy dessert served with slices of lemon and mint leaf decoration. The Lemon Meringue tart is a nice change from the usual fruity tart but it’s not really my cup of tea.

Café Enthusiast,  do come and indulge in some vintage charm and retrolicious decor!!
