I used to dream of starting a tranquil, romantic sort of cafe and Casa Verde just fits into that category. The casual trattoria nestled within the lush greenery of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, is blessed with good morning sun and a nice picturesque view of a lovely garden in busy Singapore.

It provides a perfect setting to start the day with your loved ones and even if you live in the east or west, it is well worth the trip to come at least once to soak in the ambience while having your breakfast.

I ordered the continental breakfast and waffles with strawberry, cream and maple syrup.

The waffle was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and I liked the generous servings of cream cheese and strawberries that came with it. The waffles went well with the maple syrup and it didn’t soak through or become too moist as the waffles were done properly.

The continental set of a croissant, Danish and toast bread is nothing very special, but it did taste good. The pastries were all warmed up nicely just before serving. If you do enjoy a leisurely breakfast with birds chirping and clean fresh air, do check this café out.
