Royz Et Vous café is one of the halal cafés along Bali Lane. I walked pass it on a late Wednesday afternoon and was surprised to see quite a crowd. My friend was craving for something sweet so we stepped in to satisfy her craving at this “new kid on the block”. In fact, Royz Et Vous was only about six months old at the time I visited.

During the time I was there, the place was quite noisy so it was difficult to hold a proper conversation with my friend. For those who are looking for a respite from the heat, I won’t recommend this place either as it was quite hot and stuffy when I was there, despite the few ceiling fans blowing around.

Despite staring for some time at the display counter, my friend A could not decide whether to order the Cookie monster cake or Chocolate Nutella cake. In the end I helped to decide on the Nutella as I am a huge fan of the spread.

The Chocolate Nutella cake ($8.50) was superb and I liked it a lot! It was soft and moist, and the chocolate was rich. Friend A thought it would be better if they could pair it with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on a hot day.  That would have been a perfect combination!

I will definitely return to try more of their stuff! And I hear they change some of their cakes every week so you won’t be bored on subsequent visits.
