What is Kubomi as a question for coffee brewing definitely is not asked as oft as V60 or Aeropress. It is probably less known as a brewing method.
The Kubomi coffee brewing method is quite an old method of making coffee where you create a vortex in your coffee grounds with the intention of evenly saturating them.
The oft used item in the Kubomi technique to create this vortex (or spiral divot) are chopstick, melodrip stirrer or even pencil.
Using the item, example a chopstick, you stir from the outside and go inward in a spiral motion. The grounds that are prepared in this manner are more saturated with the right amount of bloom water.
Have a look at this IG video on how it is done.
