Coffee in my town is hard to come by

Well, Good coffee is anyway hard to find. How can anyone go into a breakfast place or coffee shop and have horrible coffee. Isnt that the staple, should it not be good? I love my coffee and this coffee shop near me has coffee that stinks! Sometimes, I wonder how these companies can be charging this much when they are giving this little. Hmm...thinking about it, can any coffee maker ratings warn us about this situation?
