Drinking a piece of history

I was told coffee has been around for hundreds and some of them was saying maybe even thousands of years. So, it amazes me to know that what I am drinking is similar to what those old time Italian kings and queens are drinking. Personally, I think that coffee star power at having been in our lifestyle for so long is not really due to its taste but rather the way it is being consumed. I seriously think that espresso and gourmet coffee plays a part in propelling the lifespan of coffee and now those single cup coffees. Tea on the other hand has a pretty bland history, it is always tea and still tea...
