Drip filter coffee is my favourite type of coffee

Thank you for not dimissing the humble drip coffee maker!

I grew up during the late 70's and 80's and have vivid memories of my mother only drinking coffee from beans she had ground herself and then made in her trusty drip coffee maker. Guests were so impressed with "Helen's coffee".

As a teenager I developed a taste for coffee and naturally I preferred drip to instant and this preference has stayed with me.

Now as an adult I still prefer this type of coffee over most others. I do not like bitter coffee but do like my coffee strong.

The drip is perfect for me with any bitterness being filtered out and staying in the grounds in the paper.

I thought that most coffee officianados would sneer at the drip coffee maker! I use mine every day, starting my day with 3 mugs of coffee from my drip coffee maker.
