Starbuck Has Best Coffee In America
In a test that is reported by Consumer reports, none of the coffee that was being tested was given an excellent rating, the few that make the "good" grade among the known names are Starbucks and Green Mountain (the company flagship product is K-cups for Keurig coffee maker).
The element that the tasters look for is smoothness and complexity but unfortunately, that seems to be missing in all the coffee blend.
There are a few questions as to why starbucks win and why coffee in America cannot make the mark. Some of us that have very discerning taste would argue that starbucks actually tasted slightly burnt.
And you would be right in saying that. Starbucks actually roasted their coffee fast under 10 minutes, but with high fire, so this created the slightly burn taste.
The good thing is, they eradicate the confusing taste of different blend, which might be the reason why they got the "good" grade.
Most coffee companies that does their own blend, would usually mix in a good dose of cheaper beans and a little of the higher price beans, this would bring the cost down.
But, this also produces a taste that is not consistent. But starbucks having burnt part of its coffee, have effectively hide some of its taste.
Now, folks or Starbucks reading this, please do not be angry with this comment, I am not that expert to come out with so deep an analysis.
This was merely what I have read from a this article
Why America Can't Get A Great Coffee? But, anyhow, good or excellent, one does not really drink Starbucks because of that. I drink because it has a good ambiance, and I am sure many of us do that as well.
Would you really go and get coffee from this cafe versus one that is along the way because it has a better rating? I doubt so...
