I don’t really like to do that everytime I am brewing coffee

I am not really happy with the design of this product.

If you check up on all manual drip coffee makers the ridges on the sides and around the hole. This keeps the filter just far enough away from the filter to let coffee flow.

This one has only one ridge which in my opinion is not very effective. If fact, it would be impossible to create deep enough ridges out of porcelain to do the job.

The result is a drip filter that takes very long to flow to the point that you would already get mad and put this pot in your kitchen closet and forget it forever.

You can stick something in the base to break the seal of the filter with the sides, and that helps, but I don’t really like to do that everytime I am brewing coffee.
