I need to buy a new machine for my coffee krups soon

I bought this machine last year thinking that I would be satisfied with how it works.

While it does make good coffee, it is prone to coffee granules lodging themselves in the carafe filler stop valve.

This makes the coffee overflow all over my kitchen floor and my countertop and makes my wife crazy!!

This was remedied by the removal of the valve flap.

Further, the fit between the carafe, hot plate and filler is so tight, that removal and replacement of the carafe is hard to do.

I would expect this item to last for several years for that sort of money.

The machine I had before this was a Cuisinart, also poorly built, but did last for at least 2 years before I tossed it to the trash can.
