Launch of Le Gateau Maison

Le Gateau Maison literally means the cake house in French. According to its write out, it wants to recreate experience through food (in this case -Cake).

The cakes are good although I might not be able to live through the experience that the chef is trying to recreate.

I must comment it for being brave -doing a "sad" cake is really a disruptive way to start their cake business.

The way which they market their cake is pretty interesting too. It is interesting to see a cake shop partnering with a Japanese Pasta shop to sell cakes.

Pasta De Waraku the Japanese Pasta shop must have thought the cakes to be really delicious to offer it in their shop.

My two cents

Le Gateau Maison has a business model that is very unique.

It sells through mainly referral. It has a referral program that is very generous and I believe this is what is helping it to move many cakes.

While, it is supposed to be a country of origin cake shop, by calling themselves , I believe they are planning to expand beyond this current range of cakes.

As in all F&B, year end is the time when they will perform their magic. And I believe Le Gateau Maison will unveil a new range nearing to Christmas, for now, I am looking forward to try all their cakes without compromising my diet!
