Makansutra Hawker in Manila: how long will it take before it sparks a debate?

Singapore’s local food cultural company: Makansutra, has just opened a “Makansutra Hawker” in Manila. It offers five our local favourites such as Hokkien Prawn Noodles from Main Ji to Bak Kut Teh from Adam’s ribs.

In recent years, our local food fare have had such extensive drama over the years; from Nasi Lemak to Hokkien Noodles, everybody wants to stake a claim.

Will the Makansutra Hawker bring about a celebration of our melting-pot food culture, or a spark for future debate in the food culture scene?
