Mr Coffee Single Serve
Mr Coffee, one of the more well known coffee makers brand is entering the single serve coffee market and it is well positioned (i.e. attaining high sales).
Why do we say that? Firstly, it is the timing, secondly, it is the partner that it is with.
TimingMr Coffee has chosen to launched at the last quarter of the year (October) to ride the shopping frenzy of Christmas gift giving.
According to a research by the NPD group INC, it is said that 58% of single serve coffee makers are purchased during the November and December period.
Then, in the market, other than Nespresso, there are no big brands of single serve coffee maker being launched. Consumers going for novelty would check our the latest Mr Coffee single serve coffee maker.
PartnerThe company that is partnering with Mr Coffee in its single serve coffee foray is no other than Keurig, the current market leader in the industry.
So, if you are a consumer, you would be assured that this new single serve coffee maker is of a good quality. A reputable brand Keurig is behind the engine of Mr Coffee latest Single serve brewer.
My take is, Mr Coffee would definitely make some money from its Single serve brewer launch, but it is unlikely to go full swing into this segment.
Regardless, people tend to associate Mr Coffee with drip coffee maker, the same way people associate Bialetti as stove top espresso maker and keurig as single serve coffee maker.
But, this is good news for consumers that now have a new machine to check out, in addition, at less than $100, it is pretty affordable too!
