Drinking-lots-of-coffee
Yesterday I posted an article on the profession that is most dependent on coffee, then I thought it would be interesting to find out which country consume the most coffee -make a guess anyone?
It is actually not that hard to guess -think for a moment, where do all the big coffee chains originate, or at least most of them?
Yes, United States of America. US folks consumed more than 65 Kilograms of coffee per person per year. So, anyone that wants to do any coffee business have to go US -that is the biggest market so far.
And guess who is the second country not that far off from US? Italy, UK or France?
Wrong, the country is just beside US -Brazil.
Brazil is already the country that produces the most coffee, and so I guess it follows that their people would be drinking lots of it as well.
Anyway, they are not far from US, consuming 60 Kilograms of coffee per person per year.
How much is 60 kilograms? You need about 15-30 grams to make a cup of coffee, so that means 4000 cups of coffee, which is about 10 cups of coffee a day!!
If you look at it from this perspective, it means the Brazilians are drinking 1 cup of coffee per hour...gosh, I cannot imagine how many cups the US folks are drinking...:)
