Zojirushi Coffee Brewer

The Zojirushi EC-BD15. Zojirushi is well known for its rice cookers and hot water dispensers, and I believe this is their first coffee brewer. This doesn't mean that they made a mediocre coffee maker.

They've been around for decades, and it seems they've applied what they know about making household appliances into their first coffee maker.

This is a very solid machine. The EC-BD15 delivers one feature that should be the staple for all coffee makers --- the stainless steel thermal carafe.

It keeps coffee hot for hours, and it no longer needs a warming plate, which at times leaves a burnt taste to the coffee. In addition, before the coffee even reaches the carafe, the brew basket is already insulated; therefore, coffee comes out hot and it stays hot.

Unbreakable carafe, programmable timer, pause and serve, automatic shutoff, and a large capacity. The EC-BD15 is a good choice and a great coffee maker.
