Starting a coffee shop?: Free Cafe Setup cost Calculator
A quaint café tucked away in a corner of the tranquil Bishan Park, Canopy is an ideal place to take a coffee break after an afternoon of exercise at the park. The dainty exterior glass panels make it impossible to miss. There are signposts to guide you there as well, how convenient! The interior of the café was nicely decorated with parquet flooring, caged exposed lightbulbs and wooden furnishings.
Upon entering the café, we were briskly ushered to our seats by the waiter. He was rather chatty and provided us with his recommendations of the café’s specialties.
1. Sticky Date Pudding $14
When it was served to us, a strong aroma of the Gula Melaka greeted us. The pudding had a rather cakey texture; it was moist and warm to our taste buds. It was also drizzled with just the right amount of Gula Melaka butterscotch syrup, and came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. All these were served with a promising variety of berries and jam that balanced out the sweetness of the pudding. A bite of this dessert promptly sent me flying up on cloud nine.
2. Ice Mocha $7
The coffee blend was very smooth, and the coffee taste was not too overwhelming. This is a drink suitable for one who does not like their coffee to be too strong and also with a tinge of chocolate.
There is even a takeaway counter if you prefer to have your sandwiches on the go! You can also drop by the bar next door to treat yourself to a beer and also catch late night soccer matches there.
It is definitely a café I would love to spend my afternoons in, soaking in the tranquil exterior with lush greenery. I took the afternoon off to relax my mind and soul, a temporary relief away from my hectic life. I will definitely return to this café for a second time to try the main dishes, which sounded so ravishing!
