Delcie’s is a bakery which bakes high quality, organic, egg-free, dairy-free and gluten-free , diabetic-friendly gourmet pastries and cakes. Their vision is to whip up good and irresistible rich desserts and cakes without compromising the taste through the art of healthy baking with healthy methods and ingredients.  I had long heard about them and finally got the chance to try them out.

A quaint little bakery at Whampoa West situated near Boon Keng MRT station, Delcie’s sees a good amount of customers patronizing them for their healthier, customized allergy-free products. Just to share, Delcie's Desserts has been awarded Healthier Choice Bakery by Health Promotion Board (HPB) Singapore since Year 2011.

At this cafe, Agave (a natural sweetener from Mexico) is extensively used in the baking. It prevents a sudden spike in sugar levels in diabetic patients. The café isn’t very big but it has a couple of tables for dine-in customers. The interior exudes a simple cozy country look and is warm and inviting. 

I tried the Carrot White Chocolate cake ($7.80). It’s fantastic as the cake was not overly sweet.  It has a light carroty taste and I will highly recommend this as it doesn't leave a sweet aftertaste. 

My partner had the Molten Choc Cupcake ($6.80) which was pleasant enough to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee for our afternoon tea session.

Overall, I will recommend Delcie’s to my health-conscious pals for their healthier range of cakes and pastries.
