Situated at the Tai Seng Industrial area, Grasso Coffee is the latest addition to the existing stretch of cafes like Carol Mel and 23 Jumpin. Being just a stone’s away from Tai Seng MRT station, it is easily accessible. 

I went to Grasso on a late evening hoping to grab a quick snack before meeting my peers but they were closing in a short while so I had a quick glance at the cakes available on display and ordered the Marocchino cake ($4.50) and a Red Velvet cake ($4).

They do sell packed sandwiches on the go as well and bottled juices, good for the working crowd who wants to grab something for breakfast or a light lunch. They offer baked hot food as well.

The Marocchino was really good! It was smooth and creamy and the mocha sauce was pretty strong. To me, it was kind of like a cup of cappuccino transformed into a cake in a cup! All their tiramisus are made in house while the rest of their cakes are out sourced. The red velvet cake had a chewy texture, pretty much the same as other red velvet cakes I had tried elsewhere. The one good thing about the Red Velvet cake was that it wasn’t too sweet.

I find prices at Grasso pretty reasonable so if you are working near this area, do check them out!
