Starting a coffee shop?: Free Cafe Setup cost Calculator
Literally next door to Revolution Coffee at Infinite Studios, it suffers the same poor location issue. The store is well furnished with different types of vintage style knick knacks from type writers to a ball game-esque flip score chart. It has a picturesque setting unlike the sparse furnishing found in some other nearby cafes. More of a bistro than a cafe, the kitchen whips up sandwiches, waffles, salads and breakfast offerings like french toast and salmon benedict.
During my visit, I tried their cappuccino and a slice of toffee crumble. The crumble was fantastic, filled with delightful buttery crumbly layers and the right amount of gooey toffee on top to give it that balance of sweet and saltiness. Adding more toffee in the middle would be great as it does begin to fall apart once you begin eating it. The slice was rather tall though and would be enough to be shared by two light eaters.
The cappuccino had a rather sharp smell. Naturally the drink was stronger than expected from a cappuccino with lesser milk than others. Still, it was a great companion to finish off the savoury-sweet crumble with.
However, I was shocked when the staff announced there were closing at 4pm, an oddity which I stumbled upon unknowingly. On Tuesdays, they close at 4pm, a full 2 hours earlier than other days so do take note. They were however nice enough to let me and some other customers linger till about 4:30pm after the initial announcement.
