This Mr Coffee 10 cup thermal coffee maker has all the trappings of a good coffee maker.
First of all, it is compact and has a small footprint (14 by 9 by 15 ½ inches), making it a great choice for those who have little countertop space and who are looking for a good under cabinet coffee maker.
It has a delay brew feature, which allows you to set the time it will brew coffee up to 24 hours in advance. This feature becomes really handy, especially if you want to wake up to a freshly brewed pot of coffee.

It also has a cord storage feature and dual water indicators. In addition, this machine has a pause-and-serve feature, which allows you to pour a cup of coffee while it is brewing.
The one feature of this Mr Coffee 10 cup thermal coffee maker that stands out is its brew strength selector feature, a rare feature in a thermal coffee maker that costs under $100, which allows you to adjust the brew strength and temperature of your coffee.
Once it has finished brewing, it makes an audible tone. Coffee is brewed into a Mr. Coffee 10 cup thermal carafe, which can keep coffee hot for several hours. The thermal carafe is completely sealed to keep the coffee well-insulated. To pour coffee, either press the button on the lid with your thumb to open the pour spout, or simply remove the lid.
As a safety feature, this machine also has an automatic shut off feature. Once the machine has been idle for 2 hours after it has brewed coffee, it will shut off automatically.
Cleaning the FTTX85 is also easy, thanks to its removable filter basket. After brewing, simply remove the filter basket from the machine, and dispose of the used coffee grounds and coffee filter. It also has a special cleaning cycle feature.
For a thermal coffee maker that costs under $100, it performs surprisingly well and has more features than some more expensive coffee makers, such as the Cuisinart DTC 975, which is a Cuisinart 12 cup thermal coffee maker.
If there’s one drawback to this machine, it isn’t easy to find one, even in online stores. Mr. Coffee has already released the FTTX95 model, which is also a 10 cup thermal coffee maker, and has probably phased out this model.
However, if you’re looking for an affordable thermal coffee maker and you happen to see this available in a local store or in an online store, don’t hesitate to pick this one up.
OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).
In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:

Check out this restaurant marketing guide to learn more about the many campaigns and companies we have worked with.
Since then, we have also created many marketing workshops and classes for the F&B industry. Many of these modules are still running in tertiary institutions such as Temasek Polytechnic Skillsfuture Academy and also ITE College East COC classes, below are some snippets of our lectures and workshops:
