Starting a coffee shop?: Free Cafe Setup cost Calculator
This is my second time in Everton Park this week. I noticed that there are quite a number of cafes in this area that are being written by a lot of bloggers so I decided to have my lunch here today.
The Provision Shop is tucked away in a corner of Blk 3 and it can be easily missed if you did not check out the address beforehand. From the outside, it just looked like another normal café located below a HDB block but upon entering , you get a very cosy feeling. Service staff was warm and friendly and I particularly like the homely feel that it gives out.
There’s nothing fancy or extravagant about this place, most stuff were very 70s to 80s, things that I can pretty much relate to as a part of my childhood.
The menu was pretty short and some of the items were not available as pointed out promptly by our server.
The pastas and sandwiches and desserts are all made in house and we decided to give the pastas a try today as we were both hungry. And I am glad we did. The pastas were good, Carbonara ($16) done the traditional way and my butternut squash and zucchini lasagna ($14) topped with rocket leaves were both pretty well done. I wouldn’t say their tastes were out of the world but I think they are above the average café fare. Do give them a try if you are around this area.
Plain water is provided and self-serviced at the counter. The blueberry lemon cake that I ordered for dessert was not up to my expectation after the pretty decent pastas. It was abit on the dry side and I taste more icing sugar than blueberries and the lemon taste was too subtle. It just taste like a sweet fruit cake.
