In recent years, many neighbourhood cafes have popped up, and one of them is To-gather café. Opened for over a year (since Nov 13), To-gather café had garnered a lot of attention on social media. So here I am! From a small café, they had expanded it to cater for the bigger crowd although they are considered relatively young in the business. The first thing noteworthy about To-gather café is that their prices are really affordable!!

A friend and I went to the café on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, and apparently the café was already 80 percent occupied. The café had many beautiful quotes written on the walls, and makes one feel good to be dining there. Another thing noteworthy of the café is that they actually have a play area for the kids! I can see some familiar items from Ikea and lovely stools from Lim’s Arts which will provide a fun corner for them.

I ordered a plate of seafood aglio olio to fill my hungry tummy. When it came, I was pleased. I expected a small portion as the price of the aglio olio was just $8.90. However, the serving was decent and they were not stingy with the seafood! Most importantly, it tasted good. The level of spiciness and oil was just right for me but I would have preferred a stronger garlic taste.  

I had to try their desserts as they looked very tempting.  Chocolate Truffle ($3.90) was soft and it melted in my mouth. More importantly, it wasn’t too sweet and price is right. Matcha lava cake with a scoop of ice-cream ($6.90) was very rich in taste and the ice-cream complemented it well. Iced Mocha ($4.80) had a good blend of coffee and chocolatey taste. Nice! Southern Comfort Iced Tea @$4.50 was pretty normal.

To-gather café is really a great find! I won’t mind going there regularly for their value-for-money food, dessert and drinks.
