Vanilla Bar and Café is another one of those cafés that are sprouting up in the CBD area. The décor of this place is pretty simple and straight forward. Shelves at the side wall displays cute knick knacks which looks like characters from Japanese Anime. My guess is that the owners like Jap Manga/Anime?

We were there for dinner and the place was pretty empty. Guess it’s the same with most restaurants and cafes in the Raffles Place/Telok Ayer District. We had the Yakiniku Don and Fish and Chips. Both were just very average and not worth going back for. Service was ok though.

Flower Pot dessert, which is basically a flower planted in cookies and cream ice cream, is the most unusual thing about this café. We had to order it because it is an interesting concept and I haven’t seen it elsewhere before. Sad to say, tastewise, it is not very nice and only picture-worthy. Don’t think it will be on my list of cafes to re-visit though.
